Q

When did you start singing and how did you get started?

A:

I have been very into music my whole life. I’ve always felt a connection to it that is different to anything else. I can’t remember a time where I wasn’t singing or doing something related to music.

Q:

Do you play any other instruments besides guitar? How did you learn?

A:

I started piano lessons at a young age and was able to read music young as well. After I finished piano lessons I thought about picking up the guitar. I taught myself how to play and quite literally, as BryanAdams said, “played until my fingers bled”.  It was definitely not as easy as I thought it would be, but I knew if I really wanted to play, I’d have to work for it. Once I started to pick up on it, I never wanted to put it down, a Fender Guitar can really do that to you. I also taught myself how to play the drums: so all around, piano-guitar-drums.

Q:

How would you describe your musical genre?

A:

That’s definitely a hard one to answer. I’m not really sure that I have a distinct musical genre yet. I listen to just about everything, and that’s kind of what I’d like to do/play. As I continue to write music I am sure one genre will poke out, out of all the rest…right now I’m just being me.

Q:

Where do you draw inspiration for your original music?

A:

I use writing music as an outlet to whatever is going on in my life, similar to a diary. I always feel better if I can get all of my emotions out onto paper and create something with it. When I wrote “Beautiful Ride” it was during the transition of going into High School and figuring out who I was. I wanted to make a song that people could relate to and for others to feel how I feel about this crazy thing called life. I have a bunch of other songs and ideas that I will hopefully be able to share in the near future.
